End of Another School Year...

This year has gone by so fast, I can't believe it's really over...

Every year brings you new students, new struggles, new fun, and new and exciting things of all types. This year, I can honestly say has been my best year, in my 11 years of teaching. I've had great students before. I've had wonderful classes before...but this class...this class tops them all! It wasn't one student that made it great, it was as though the perfect mix of personalities were put together especially for me! These students have been so much fun to teach!! As a whole, they kept me laughing and they also were so respectful, caring, and thoughtful. They worked with me when I was in a lot of pain because of my shoulder, and really took care of me after I had surgery. They were so incredibly caring when my sweet Hays got sick, and then again when I lost her. They always joked around with me, and kept my job fun and enjoyable. I watched them work so hard to become amazing learners. This year was an absolute joy, and I am seriously so sad to see it come to an end.

When talking to my class today (our last day together), I shed tears as I told them how special they all are, and how much I loved being their teacher. Quite a few cried a bit too. We all bonded this year.

Though this year has come to an end, I am SO blessed that I get to move up with them to 3rd grade. Unfortunately, I will not get to keep all of them in my class--as my principal said no to looping up with them (which would have been SO ideal)...BUT I will have some of them, and see ALL of them everyday! I really am excited to start next year already!!! This group of kids will always have such a special place in my heart!
